Key Features

Period engine

pick monthly / quarterly / annual and a year; the dates are derived automatically (or override them).

Aggregation from account.move / account.move.line

walks posted customer invoices (and, optionally, credit notes) in the period and groups base lines by the customer's US state.

Taxable vs exempt split

lines carrying a non-zero sales tax are counted as taxable; untaxed and zero-rate lines are counted as exempt. Gross = taxable + exempt.

Per-jurisdiction breakdown

under each state, sales are broken out by the tax (jurisdiction) applied, so combined state + county + city rates are visible.

Nexus-state filter

restrict the worksheet to the states where you have a filing obligation; everything else is excluded from the figures.

Prior-period adjustments

record late credit memos or previously over-reported amounts; they roll into the matching state line and the net tax due.

Rounding reconciliation

jurisdiction detail rows are rounded with a cumulative-target algorithm so the pennies always foot to the state total.

Data-quality warnings

invoices whose customer has no US state are reported (count and amount) and excluded — the worksheet still computes.

CSV export

one file with a state summary, the jurisdiction detail, the adjustments block and a grand-total row.
