Leave maths is where HR teams quietly go wrong — mid-year joiners, hours-based accrual, carry-over limits and TOIL. This module gives every employee a per-year leave account that records each accrual, carry-over, TOIL credit and adjustment as an auditable ledger. It ships UK Working Time Regulations defaults (5.6 weeks, capped at 28 days) and lets you build accrual policies for any country.

Per-Country Policies
Define accrual policies per country with annual entitlement, statutory cap, hours per working day and a chosen period-start month — UK WTR defaults included.
Flexible Accrual
Accrue entitlement monthly (automatic monthly cron or manual Run Accrual button) or by hours worked — a Log Worked Hours wizard on the account form lets you enter hours and preview the days before posting.
Pro-Rata Joiners & Leavers
A pro-rata wizard recalculates entitlement for employees who join or leave part-way through a period, using their active-from / active-until dates.
Carry-over Caps & Auto-Expiry
Roll balances into the next period with a carry-over wizard that enforces the policy cap. A dedicated monthly cron then automatically posts expiry entries for any carried days not used within the configurable window (e.g. 3 months).
TOIL Tracking
Optional Time Off In Lieu with a configurable multiplier and cap. TOIL credits and debits are added directly to the employee's unified available-days balance — one number for HR, one for the employee.
Auditable Ledger
Every accrual, carry-in, taken, adjustment, expiry and TOIL movement is a dated ledger entry, so the available-days figure is always explainable.
