This module makes it obvious: an asset register with hire rates, condition, status and meter; hire contracts that auto-count days and revenue with deposit and return-condition handling; maintenance orders with labour, parts, downtime and meter capture; and a utilisation engine that compares days on hire against available days to give utilisation %, revenue, maintenance cost, net margin and a revenue-per-available-day KPI. An availability guard stops double-bookings and a daily cron flags assets overdue for service.

Hire Asset Register
Each asset carries category, purchase cost, daily/weekly hire rates, condition, status (available / on-hire / maintenance / retired) and a meter reading (hours or mileage).
Hire Contracts
Reserve → on-hire → returned, with automatic day-count and revenue calculation, deposit handling, return condition check and damage charges.
Availability Guard
An asset cannot be double-booked or hired out while it is under maintenance or retired — preventing impossible promises to customers.
Maintenance Orders
