When equipment history lives in spreadsheets and emails, nobody knows what was fixed, what it cost or what's still under warranty. This module gives every asset a single record of its whole service life: an asset register with warranty tracking, service orders with technician, labour and parts, downtime and availability figures, monotonic meter readings for usage-based maintenance, and preventive schedules that auto-generate the next due job. A per-asset dashboard rolls it all up.

Asset Register & Warranty
Each asset carries code, category, location, owner, supplier, purchase value and a warranty window — with automatic in/out-of-warranty status and warranty days remaining.
Service Orders
Log corrective, preventive or inspection jobs with a draft → in-progress → done → cancelled lifecycle, technician, start/end times, labour hours and a running total cost.
Parts Used
List the products consumed per order with quantity and unit cost; line and order costs roll up automatically.
Downtime & Availability
Record when an asset went down and came back; the order computes downtime hours and the asset shows total downtime and a live availability percentage (rolling 1-year window) directly on the asset form.
Meter Readings
Capture odometer / hours-run / cycle readings over time, validated so they never go backwards, feeding usage-based maintenance.
Preventive Schedules
Define interval-based plans per asset; a scheduled cron and a wizard generate the next due service orders automatically with lead-time warning.
One Source of Truth
Warranty, costs, parts, downtime and readings live on the asset — no more hunting across spreadsheets when something breaks.
