NMW / NLW Checker
Flag workers whose effective hourly rate breaches UK NMW/NLW bands
UK National Minimum Wage / National Living Wage breaches lead to public naming and fines, yet Odoo has nothing to detect them. A worker can fall below NMW even on a compliant headline rate once accommodation offsets, uniform and tool deductions, salary sacrifice and unpaid working time are taken into account. This module computes each worker's effective hourly rate for a pay reference period and checks it against the correct age-banded rate — transparently and line by line.
Key Features
NMW/NLW Rate Tables
Maintain rates by effective date and age/apprentice band, with multi-year history so the check stays correct as rates change. UK rates are pre-loaded.
Per-Worker Reference Data
Age band, contracted and actual hours, gross pay, plus the deductions and additions that count for NMW (accommodation offset, deductions for the employer's own use, and more).
Effective-Rate Engine
Applies HMRC-style rules: deductions that reduce NMW pay, the accommodation offset cap, and unpaid time, then compares the result to the correct band rate.
Batch Assessment
Assess all employees for a period in one run, producing a breach list with the shortfall per worker.
Remediation Top-Up
For each breach the module shows the top-up required to bring the worker back into compliance.
Fully Auditable
Every calculation is transparent and traceable line by line, with a compliance report ready for review.
