The CMR is the standard waybill required for cross-border road transport across the EU and the 50+ countries that ratified the 1956 Geneva Convention. 24 standard CMR boxes
Every numbered box of the official form — sender, consignee, place of delivery, place & date of taking over, attached documents, marks & numbers, packages, packing, nature of goods, statistical code, gross weight, volume, instructions, carrier, successive carrier, reservations, documents handed over, special agreements, payment, cash on delivery, special remarks, goods received and the carrier / consignee signature boxes.
Bilingual PDF — 8 languages
Each box label is printed as English / local language. The local column is chosen per document and auto-suggested from the carrier / consignee country. Eight fully translated label columns are built in: English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Polish.
Multi-copy set
Prints the full CMR set as defined by Article 5 of the Convention: the Original (Sender), plus copies for the Consignee, the Carrier and a Customs / File copy — one labelled sheet each. A wizard toggle lets you print only the Original when you need a single sheet.
QR verification
An optional QR code is rendered on each sheet using Odoo's native barcode engine (no extra dependency). It encodes the consignment identity — CMR number, parties, route, weight and date — as plain text any phone scanner can read, so the back office can verify a note against its archive.
Auto-fill from the picking
Create a CMR directly from a stock.picking and the sender, consignee, route, loading date, gross weight, package count and nature of goods flow in automatically. A pre-print wizard then lets you review and override every box before the PDF is rendered.
Geneva-Convention validation
Before a CMR can be issued the module checks the mandatory particulars of Article 6.1, rejects negative weights / package counts, and warns when sender and consignee share a country (CMR applies to international carriage only). A completeness indicator shows how full a draft is, and every issued note is tracked in the chatter.
