Qatar e-Invoice
GTA e-invoicing readiness for Odoo — capture compliant invoice data, document hash & QR, ahead of the published mandate
Qatar's Council of Ministers approved a draft e-invoicing law on 6 May 2026. The General Tax Authority (GTA) has not yet published a technical specification. This module is an honest, pre-mandate readiness scaffold: it captures the data a GTA e-invoice will require, structures it into a deterministic canonical document, computes the document hash and builds the QR — so you start today and flip to live clearance when the GTA schema lands.
Readiness document
A canonical JSON envelope aligned with the UBL/PINT field set the GCC is converging on: per-line items with unit codes, tax-category bucketing, a tax summary and credit/debit-note referencing. Deterministic and signable.
Document hash + QR
A SHA-256 digest over the canonical signing string and a GCC-style TLV QR carrying the seller name, TIN, timestamp, totals and the invoice hash, rendered to a PNG for the printed invoice.
Real GTA TIN validation
A 10-digit Dhareeba Tax Identification Number validator runs on the company and partners, with an ISO 7064 MOD 11,10 check-digit helper for onboarding typo-guarding and Commercial-Registration / QID classification.
Readiness rule validation
A Qatar rule set layered on the engine's EN 16931-style core checks the supplier and buyer TIN, line tax categories, QAR currency, country code and correction referencing before anything is captured.
Honest scope
There is no live national GTA gateway yet, and this module does not pretend to submit to one. It produces the signable readiness document and verifies connectivity to the GTA Dhareeba endpoint you configure, wired for the published clearance API. Qatar levies no VAT today, so lines default to out-of-scope while staying forward-compatible.
Bring-your-own-key
Your Dhareeba access token lives on the connection record, never in the module. It is transmitted only to the GTA endpoint you configure — nowhere else.
Guided onboarding
A wizard captures your GTA TIN, Commercial Registration and connection settings, validates the TIN and optionally checks endpoint connectivity, leaving the company ready to capture GTA-compliant e-invoice data ahead of the published mandate.
Compatible with Odoo 18 and Odoo 19.
Disclosure
This module transmits invoice data only to the GTA endpoint you configure. Your access token and tax identifiers are stored solely on your own database and are never sent anywhere else.
