Uruguay DGI CFE e-Invoice
Sign and send e-Ticket & e-Factura to the DGI — CAE numbering, sobre envelope and customer-certificate signing
Connect Odoo to Uruguay's Direccion General Impositiva (DGI) electronic invoicing regime. Customer documents become signed CFE XML, numbered from your CAE authorisation, wrapped in an EnvioCFE sobre and submitted to DGI. CFE has been universal for all IVA taxpayers since January 2025, with further rules from March 2026.
e-Ticket & e-Factura XML
Generates the DGI CFE structure for e-Ticket (101/102/103) and e-Factura (111/112/113), including credit and debit notes, with the Encabezado / Detalle / Totales zones and per-line IndFact for exento, IVA tasa minima (10%) and tasa basica (22%).
CAE numbering
Register the series, range and expiry that DGI granted per CFE type. Numbers are allocated atomically and never issued outside an authorised, unexpired range — the legal prerequisite a CAE exists to guarantee.
Customer-certificate signing
Each CFE carries an enveloped XML-DSig signature built locally from the PEM certificate and key you paste into the company settings. SHA-256 digest, SignedInfo and an RSA signature — no system XMLSec library required.
Real RUC & CI validation
The DGI modulo-11 RUC check digit and the modulo-10 Cedula de Identidad check digit are validated on the company and partners, with automatic receptor document-type detection for e-Factura.
Sobre envelope & DGI submission
Signed CFE are wrapped in an EnvioCFE sobre with the caratula and emisor RUC, then submitted over a transport with editable test / production endpoints, retry with backoff and full request/response logging.
Business-rule validation
A Uruguay rule set layered on an EN 16931-style core checks the emisor RUC, the receptor document on e-Factura, line IndFact codes, currency and note referencing before anything is submitted.
Guided onboarding
A wizard captures your RUC, environment and optional signing certificate, validates the RUC check digit, creates the DGI connection and leaves the company ready to issue CFE. An optional cron drains posted documents to DGI in batches.
Compatible with Odoo 18 and Odoo 19.
Disclosure
This module transmits CFE data only to the DGI reception endpoint you configure. Your signing certificate, private key and credentials are stored solely on your own database and are never sent anywhere else.
Bring-your-own-key & support
This is a self-service connector, not a managed integration service. We
are not a DGI integrator or certification provider: you remain the
registered taxpayer and you supply your own DGI-registered signing
certificate, RUC and reception access (bring-your-own-key). DGI
registration, the CAE authorisations and credential validity are handled
directly between you and the DGI. Email support is included at
