Food, cosmetics and chemical producers run the same recipe at different batch sizes. Doing the maths by hand and re-keying scaled quantities into a Bill of Materials is slow and error prone. This module turns a BoM into a scalable recipe and produces a ready-to-make scaled batch — with rounding rules, minimums and by-products — in a couple of clicks.

Recipe BoMs
Flag a BoM as a Recipe with a base batch size and unit, the foundation for scaling any production run up or down.
Per-component scaling rules
Set each component to scale linearly, stay fixed (e.g. a catalyst), or scale stepwise — each with its own rounding rule and minimum quantity.
Scale Recipe wizard
Enter a target batch size or a target output quantity and the wizard computes every component and by-product quantity automatically.
Rounding & minimums
Apply none / up / down / nearest rounding at a configurable precision plus per-component minimums, so scaled quantities are practical to actually weigh out.
By-products & yield loss
Handle secondary outputs and yield-loss percentages so the scaled batch reflects real production, not just the headline recipe.
Draft MO generation
Save the result as a Batch Recipe with full line detail and computed cost, and generate a draft Manufacturing Order with the scaled quantities to start production immediately.
