This pack brings a self-service BI layer to Odoo Community: define dashboards, attach KPI tiles backed by any model with sum, average, count, min or max aggregation, set targets and thresholds, and save reusable cross-tab pivots — all powered by the stock Odoo ORM read_group engine. A scheduled job captures KPI snapshots so historical trends persist even as records change. Key Features
KPI Tiles on Any Model
A gb.kpi.tile is backed by any non-transient ir.model, a filter domain and a measure_field with count, sum, avg, max or min aggregation computed via _aggregate over read_group. Set a target, unit and prefix and the engine resolves the current value live against your real data.
Targets & Colour-Coded Status
_evaluate_status divides value by target_value to an achievement %, then flags ok, warning or critical against warning_threshold and critical_threshold. A higher_is_better toggle inverts the maths so a falling cost reads as good, surfacing health at a glance.
Period-Over-Period Trends
Configure a date_field and trend_period_days (default 30) and _period_domains builds current and previous windows. compute_value computes delta, delta_percent and an up/down/flat trend so each tile shows momentum, not just a static number.
Saved Cross-Tab Pivots
gb.pivot.definition takes a model, row group-by, optional column group-by and a measure, then run_pivot calls read_group and builds a full HTML matrix with row totals, column totals and a grand total stored in result_html for instant recall — no Enterprise Spreadsheet needed.
Configurable Dashboards
gb.dashboard groups KPI tiles and pivots in a 2, 3 or 4-column layout. action_refresh recomputes every tile and snapshots it, while healthy_tile_count and alert_tile_count summarise how many tiles are on target versus warning or critical.
Historical KPI Snapshots
Each refresh writes a gb.kpi.snapshot with the value, achievement and timestamp, so trend lines persist even as source records change. action_view_history opens a list and graph of a tile's snapshots for genuine historical analysis.
Scheduled Refresh & Prune
A daily cron cron_refresh_all recomputes every active dashboard and captures snapshots unattended, and a weekly cron_prune deletes snapshots older than 365 days to bound table growth, keeping the history meaningful without manual housekeeping.
Validated & Company-Scoped
Constraints reject invalid domains, require a measure field when aggregation is not count, and stop a critical threshold exceeding the warning one. Tiles and pivots aggregate with_company so dashboards respect your existing multi-company isolation and access rules.
