Multi-book fixed-asset register with parallel Book, MACRS tax, AMT and State depreciation schedules and disposal gain/loss
Key Features
Unlimited parallel books
Unlimited parallel books — define Book, Federal Tax, AMT and per-state books once, each with its own method, life, convention and incentive rules.
IRS MACRS tables
IRS MACRS tables — the federal tax book depreciates off the published half-year and mid-quarter GDS percentage tables for 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 and 20-year property, so Form 4562 numbers tie out to the penny.
Every US method
Every US method — straight-line, 200% and 150% declining balance (with the automatic switch to straight-line), sum-of-the-years'-digits and MACRS.
US conventions
US conventions — half-year, mid-quarter and mid-month first-year proration driven by the placed-in-service date.
Bonus depreciation & §179
Bonus depreciation & §179 — first-year §168k bonus and §179 expensing are honoured on books that allow them and ignored on the state books that decouple.
Asset classes
Asset classes — group assets into MACRS classes that pre-fill the recovery period, life, salvage and convention when a new asset is registered.
One-click schedule generation
One-click schedule generation — generate or regenerate the full year-by-year schedule for every book from a single button, or in bulk.
Disposal gain/loss across books
Disposal gain/loss across books — a disposal wizard trims each schedule at the disposal date and shows the different gain or loss recognised on the Book, Tax, AMT and State books side by side.
Net book value at any date
Net book value at any date — accumulated depreciation and net book value are tracked per book and available for any as-of date.
Full audit trail
Full audit trail — chatter tracking on assets, disposal reasons and posted schedule lines.

Why Choose This Module
The pain is real: the financial statements want straight-line, the IRS wants accelerated MACRS off the Publication 946 tables, the AMT book wants 150% declining balance over the same recovery period, and many states decouple from federal bonus depreciation and §179, so they need yet another schedule. Doing that by hand is slow and error-prone. This app encodes it.
