Key Features
Asset register
Asset register — record each item of tangible personal property with its description, acquisition date, original cost, asset class/category and the taxing county/jurisdiction it sits in.
Percent-good tables
Percent-good tables — maintain age-based depreciation schedules (the percent-good factor that a county applies to original cost by the age of the asset). Different asset classes use different economic lives and tables.
County / jurisdiction master
County / jurisdiction master — store each county's assessment ratio and optional mill rate, so the same asset list can be rendered to several jurisdictions with different math.
Live per-asset valuation
Live per-asset valuation — every asset shows its age, the percent-good factor for that age, the depreciated market value, and the assessed value for a chosen assessment year.
Rendition worksheet
Rendition worksheet — one button aggregates all in-scope assets for a county and tax year, groups them by acquisition year and asset class, applies the percent-good factor by acquisition year, totals the original cost, market value and asse
Export
Export — download the rendition lines as CSV for your workpapers, your accountant or to transcribe onto the county form.

Why Choose This Module
Most U.S. states tax the tangible business personal property a company owns on the assessment date — machinery, computers, furniture, fixtures, tooling and the like. Each year the business must file a rendition (a sworn listing of that property) with the local taxing county or appraisal district. The county then applies a percent-good depreciation schedule to the original cost, multiplies by an assessment ratio, and bills the property tax at the local mill rate.
