Key Features
Bring-your-own-key Plaid connection
Bring-your-own-key Plaid connection — connect with your own client id, secret and item access token; no shared aggregator agreement, no credentials held on our side.
Incremental transaction sync
Incremental transaction sync — uses Plaid's cursor-based /transactions/sync so each pull only imports added, modified and removed transactions, with automatic de-duplication.
Date-range back-fill
Date-range back-fill — an import wizard pulls a specific from/to window through /transactions/get for historical clean-up.
Multi-account aggregation
Multi-account aggregation — every depository and credit account behind the linked item is imported with its mask, type, subtype and live balances.
Rule-based auto-categorization
Rule-based auto-categorization — ordered rules match on name, merchant, Plaid Personal Finance Category or amount and assign the target Odoo account.
Personal Finance Category mapping
Personal Finance Category mapping — Plaid's primary/detailed category is stored on every line and can drive categorization out of the box.
One-click connection test
One-click connection test — verify your key against the live Plaid item and see which institution you reached before importing anything.
Scheduled background sync
Scheduled background sync — a cron job imports new transactions on a schedule so reconciliation stays current without manual pulls.
Money-in / money-out direction
Money-in / money-out direction — Plaid's amount sign is normalized into a clear inflow/outflow direction and signed Odoo amount.
Full audit trail
Full audit trail — connections and transactions are tracked with chatter, sync counters and a per-run import log.

Why Choose This Module
Transactions are pulled with Plaid's incremental /transactions/sync cursor, so every run only fetches what changed — new charges are added, updated ones are refreshed and removed pending items are cleaned up, all without duplicates. Each transaction arrives with its merchant name, amount, currency, date, pending flag, payment channel and Plaid's Personal Finance Category, and is then matched against your categorization rules to pick the Odoo account it should post to. A scheduled job keeps the feed current so your books are always close to real time.
